You can help us make a difference, here's how.

We can all have an impact on recycling as individuals. Choices we make every day have an effect on our planet. Incorrect recycling can waste more time for sorting or lead to loss of recyclables as a whole.

Recycling programs vary slightly from city to city, so when out of state students come to college, they might not be familiar with regulations. Check out the graphic on what can be recycled for more information for Claremont specifically! Some other small scale solutions we can make as college students are:

  1. Sharing information about how to recycle on campus at Orientation to reduce rejecting certain recycling loads.
  2. Having professors give a 5-minute presentation at the beginning of classes about recycling misconceptions.
  3. Increasing signage at points of acquisition such as Cafes.
  4. Being empathetic about educating has been proven to have positive effects on recycling.
